it's not really any cheaper dude, last time I was there it was about the same price if not a little bit more for some strains.

Best thing to do would be google "amsterdam menu" under images.

This should give you some decent info but WTL is right it's pretty much the same as the UK now because of the Euro conversion + they sell it in grams.

Holland was better when it was the Guilder rather than the Euro.
Prices were good back then.

Large Amstel then on to a coffee shop and still have change for a pizza.
Holland pizza shops do the best pizza's I've tasted.
Knocks the spots off any I've tasted round here.

Even the hookers put the prices up when they switched to the Euro.... Guilders were cheaper.

With the poor Pound - Euro rate your looking at London prices for everything in Amsterdam now. A large beer will set you back £4, 1g weed/hash from £6-12 depending on strength/quality.

Your best bet is to get off the tourist routes and find some back-street bars/coffeeshops where the prices are lower - look for locals inside, its always a good sign.

Don't go in the 'big name' places; they mostly suck and are way overpriced.
