me & 3 mates are going to dam we need a cheap place to stay?

where going around the 21/07/09-22/07/09 till 24/07/09-25/07/09 we need a cheapish place to stay so we got more cash for weed nd such also we want to be near everything like coffeshops im sure its the centre of dam we want to be is this true?

anyways we had a decent (not posh or owt) place for a week was £135 B&B

its in leidseplein, which is pretty canny place not too busy if ya want a more chilled night, and if you stay away from the BullDog coffeeshops you won;t get ya eyeballs ripped out as much for a decet smoke!
but its only a short tram ride on the 1,3 or 5 into Dam Square and central station if you do wanna do the mainstream thing

you will be spoiled for choice over there mate, there are coffeeshops and bongshops galore!

I beenby ferry from tynemouth a few times but we flew from newc last few times and once from leeds/bradford cos it worked out cheaper including a minibus! worth shopping about dude!

and as for reccomending things to do in the dam.... try everything! haha not all at once mind I don't wanna be responsible for influencing you into a drug induced coma lol
I think it was grey area that did the nicest spacecakes ever! if so enjoy!

we're going again this year staying with friends over there this time so even cheaper! :) yeay!

The campsites out of town are good value too if you can be botherd with public transport. The Hotel/B&B Lt.Pink linked is good too CoffeeShopMap (http://www.coffeeshop.freeuk.com/Map.html) everything in the dam is in walking distance and from your hotel walk up to Herengracht then left along herengracht for maybe 10 minutes and your at grey area for some Chocolope!

I stayed in "The old Quarters" which was bang in the middle of the redlight district. Next door was the hunters bar and coffeeshop 36 which was good for morning smokes as it were only next door. Cost me £70 for 2 nights includes a fry up in the mornings.

When we arrived it was so late all the coffeeshops had closed for the night and we were all moaning that we couldnt get stoned on our first night. Before you know it the barman at our hotel said he can sort us out, 5 mins later he comes back with a spliff for each of us we was sooo greatful!

Dude I went to Amsterdam 2 months ago and am going in 2 weeks between the 18th and 21st! Last time I stayed at "The Flying Pig" and am staying there again, It's awesome, It's not the cheapest which I know is what ya asked for but you will def save money in their bar, it's the cheapest bar wecame across the whole trip and stays open till summit like 5 in the morn! It's right by the main station too, check it out man. Have a good trip!
