can i wash me buds?

just chopped but got some mites on me buds can i rinse them in the shower to wash em off? what should i do?

IMO if you truelly have to wash your buds off don't do it in the shower. Chances are you will knock the TCH off. You do better off putting it into a bowl of water carefully then drying them out real well after. Don't like getting my buds wet like that though. Will increase your chances of getting bud rot.

i would just dry them and smoke it, unless they are absolutely laced with the shits, i did it before and it may have even added a bit more flavour ahahha :D

I would never put nice fresh buds in water, incase it effects the quality when smoked. I would just put them in an air-tight container and let the mites suffercate, or spray them with bug killer!

Or just smoke the little runts!

lol i wouldn't like to be smoking bug killer!! i rate water curing, do it right and no mold will ever get on them tasty buds. i'm guessing it'd kill the beasties but they'd probly still be on there after.

If you're going to put your buds in water in any way at all it should be water curing. No exceptions :p

I still would not put them in water.. Just seems to me like it could wash some of the thc away and you may loose some smell/taste.

I would either spray them or just smoke the little buggers. Im sure after running some weed through your grinder any little mites would get ground up and killed and I doubt they will have an effect on the smoke.

Or you could put them in a vaccum sandwich bag and vaccum suck the bag air-tight and seal. Any mites will die after a short period of time being no oxygen to breath plus no room to move.

Ever tried water curing? google it, I tried it once when I had a really dirty bud, lots of sand, flower pollen(not cannabis pollen), spider webs ect`, it cleans out the bud really nice and don't need jar curing, biggest downside IMO though is that is flushes all the taste also, didn't notice a change in potency.

I've already mentioned that this is the best way to clean any kind of dirty, or contaminated bud, but nobody seems to care.. Ach well :p

if you cure your buds, the bugs should die. But sounds like you were in too much of a hurry to bother with that. Try freezing some of the rest. At least that will kill the proteins in the mites. However, I'm sure we've all smoked some mite infested pot over the years unknowingly...
