Hello all, ive got a noob question. Ive been using a 100ml inline fan for my budbox which is 3x3x6ft, the intake is basicly a few holes at the bottom on one side and a desk fan inside. Now i want to use the inline fan for the intake and buy a carbon filter fan for the outake. Heres the question, what size fan do i buy. Taking in account the temp is getting slighty high and will only get higher due to the summer, when it finally shows it face. Oh yeah im using a 400w hps, its not really hot today but the tempin the box is just over 30. Iam lucky in one way the box is right next to a open window but like i say not much intake. One more thing should i have the fan inside with the filter outside the box.
Sorry if this dosent make sense, long day at work and now im really stoned.lol

I have my filter positioned on the outside of the budbox right next to the open window.. Works for me. :D

Cheers asci, did the carbon filter kill the smell of your white russian?
totally mate. I was a tad late attaching mine and they stank the house out after 4 weeks under the MH! After that, no smell in the slightest..

I have mine on the outside aswell to help save room. It still works just as good. The only difference i could think would be and thats instead of sucking air through the filter and causing any crap to stick to the outside of the filter so you can see when it needs changing, it would build up with crap from the inside of the filter. Thinking this i plan on changing my sleeve and refilling the filter after 12 months of use to keep it running sweet.
I've noticed that a there is fine amount of particles are accumilating on the outside of the sleeve but I can only image what the inside must look like. But yeah I'm gonna change mine after 12 months or so too.

I've got my fan and filter on the outside of my grow room and i have about 2ft of duckting coming from the top of my grow room to the extractor fan. The duckting does go into the grow room and right close to my light to suck the heat away aswell as clear the air. :smokie:
I know if you have the space to have your fan in there, then most people have them up near the top with the filter attached and run the output duckting out of the top of the grow room.
