coca as in coca or coca as in coca

Yup. They look pretty much like coca seeds & plants to me.

However, a bit like growing opium poppies, in order to extract the drug & refine it I reckon you'll be looking at a harvest of less than a quarter gramme with that many plants. Not really worth it with all the time, effort, lecky, etc. It's just not cost effective like weed is.

I wonder what the classification of the actual plant is (under the Misuse of Drugs Act). Would it be Class A do you think, unrefined, like? Interesting.

coca as in coca or coca as in coca

They're supposed to be spelled differently LL, there is Coca which is refined to produce the white stuff and Cocoa which produces chocolate.

Those look like the first to me, I have grown b4. But as Ganesha said, trying to do it indoor under artificial lamps and expecting a large enough harvest to make the white is pretty much a waste of space/time/money especially if youre in the UK. I'm in the southern deserts of the US and my friends mum thinks they are just 'houseplants' lol. Had one almost 4meters tall and 3 across. We like to chew the leaves though instead of distilling the chemicals. I'll go up an get some pics, prolly during the new years annual party.

that said, isn't this thread kind of a 'no no' in this Forum?

Yes, probably best not to pursue it further tjf8070. They don't like mention of the unmentionables here.

I'm just curious as a gardener really. It's an interesting medicinal plant. I get annoyed not being able to grow what I want/would like to grow. I could grow enough Thornapple (Datura stramonium) in my back garden to kill plenty of my neighbours but that's completely legal. No problem with the Law there. But try & grow some fucking herbs...

there is a reason it comes from where it does.
optimum conditions can be created in a greenhouse apart from altitude.

The leaves of the coca plant are Class A drugs under the Misuse of Drugs Act of 1971.
