Posting this in advanced section as I am growing with tomorite for the first time, after 5 years on biobizz, hesi, pk13/14, hammerhead, canna boost bla de blah de blah. All soil grows..
Using molasses and tomorite as the key ingredients for this one and I am slightly worried about the ratio on the tomorite and it's lowish phospherous content. The plants look normal and with this regime, I am seeing lots more frost at end of week 3, but bud development is ever so slightly suspicious. The ratio is 4:4.5:8. So the plant is getting as much nitrogen and phoshperous... And double the potassium.
On top of the tomorite, The molasses has a good potassium level, but no phospgerous. So my bloom feed ratio is something like..
1 part nitrogen, 1 part phos, 3 part potassium.
The biobizz bloom has More like 1-3-1.
In short, I am worried that I don't have enough phospgerous in my feed. So questions please ..
1) do I need to be worried
2) if yes, what's a good source of phos? On this grow I refuse to use canna specific nutes and happy to boil up a badger if necessary.
Feedback especially welcome from users of tomorite and molasses.

If you repot 2 or 3 times into good compost, a tad of tomato food towards the end of the grow (if needed) will do the job fine mate and will give the same results as over-priced shit that is supposedly designed for the job.
If the Phosphorus content worries you, add a bit of Bone Meal.
Don't let the "You NEED this product to grow good plants" hype fool ya mate, people have been growing top quality plants long before all this 'canna/bio/hesi' bollocks reared it's head!
Tomorite is better than anything i have used that was designer, add seaweed extract and mollasses u right, u wont hurt with added p n k in moderation but you wont need it.:)

Thanks grub, yeah that where I'm going with this... To convince myself that you can do it for 10% cost vs the normal shite. I can't repot due to space issued and laziness lol. Good tip on the bonemeal, but I think I will wait.
Cheers dekay, got some seaweed in the tomorite so hopefully all will be fine if they keep going as is. Checked out montybongs efforts this avvo as well to see how he approached it. Always good to get some re assurance and the plants look ok on the regime.
Thanks for replies lads.

I was going to try something different this grow,i was going to use bio grow throughout (smells like mollasses)then add a little tomorite in flower, don't know whether that sounds ridiculous or not lol

Holy shit. All this time and effort spent finding good shit (literally) and you telling me my African Violets (NPK 12-36-14) salts were more than adequate all along? Pah! I say pah!
Oh well at least I can claim Organics.
GREAT info (just wish I'd known sooner)

Thanks for the replies folks. All v much appreciated. As I am now going towards flush, I decided that the plants did need an oomph of phos a week or so ago. I must look into the repot through flower thing, but don't like having lots of pots around the house. I am convinced it works and makes complete sense.
So I am happy to say that this is what I used....
Half tin of Tate and lyle black syrup. 30p. Booster
A third of a 2.99 bottle of tomorite. One quid. Npk
20ml of pk 13/14 for the phos boost. Cost 4 quid for 500ml, so 25p phos boost.
Urine. About 2 pints. Nitrogen and soil conditioner.
50g of epsoms 20p.
If not repotting I would recommend a wee phospherous boost last half of flower. But under 2 quid on nutes, without repotting ain't bad for a grow under 400hps. But yes molasses and tomorite is pretty much all you need.
You can see how they got on in my siggy. Thats normal kinda bud formation for me, no worse than pricier stuff. The frost is way more than usual however, which I put down to the molasses and strain.
I will never stray far from this method for a good while, with molasses and tomorite, the backbone ingredients.
Cheers
