Thinking about doing scrog at some point, can you give me any advice on setting it up etc and any handy tips would be appreciated.
My grow space is a walk in wardrobe, and I use a 400w hps which does 4 plants fine (6.5 oz from 4 plants last time with a standard grow using soil and biobiz nutes for the flowering period)
I am using an inline fan with carbon filter with my temps between say 16c - 27c and I use an oscillating tower fan to move the air around.
So I been looking at some of your scrogs etc and I wanna give it a go, am thinking the tower fan is the best idea for a grow like that?
anyway, tips and ideas would be cool.
thx

I do modular scrogs, 3 plants @ a time, & I use a pillar fan.
I find it provides a "wall" of air, rather than a more focused blast, but if you have desk fans, stick 'em in as well.

is there any important things I should know, tips that could save me fucking up something and learning the hard way? Ive got the general idea of how to do it and what sort of wire mesh to use, just hoping to get some valuable pointers from veteren scroggers :)

ok how about these:
1: how far from the top of plant pots would you place the screen?
2: my space of 1 metre x 2.5 foot x 2 metre high was perfect for 4 plants during my last grow, would the space be ok for scrogging 4 plants?
3: what happens if you get probs and need to flush or something, how would you go about doing stuff like that if the plants are growing through the screen?
4: would topping be a good idea and when would you do it, before or after training them through the screen?
5: how would you go about watering since there is a screen in the way, I was thinking of a length of hose attached to the end of my watering can, how do YOU do it?
these are the main questions I can think of, if ya could answer these for me I would be gratefull but if there are any more pointers you can give me then pls do ;)

ok how about these:
1: how far from the top of plant pots would you place the screen?
I have my screens around 12" high.
2: my space of 1 metre x 2.5 foot x 2 metre high was perfect for 4 plants during my last grow, would the space be ok for scrogging 4 plants?
I use a 1x1x2 tent, & get 3 plants in with ease (see my link if you want a gander)
3: what happens if you get probs and need to flush or something, how would you go about doing stuff like that if the plants are growing through the screen?
This is why I modular scrog, it allows me to grow different strains @ the same time, & also to be able to address one plants needs without detriment to the others.
4: would topping be a good idea and when would you do it, before or after training them through the screen?
That depends on the length of your veg period. I normally top once or twice before the screen goes over , & then depending on my time sced, I may top again when its on, if it looks like it would be of benefit.
5: how would you go about watering since there is a screen in the way, I was thinking of a length of hose attached to the end of my watering can, how do YOU do it?
Again, this is another benefit of the modular scrog, each plant can be removed & watering then becomes much easier.

+1 for the mod scrog. Check my diary for examples. 1 screen per pot makes EVERYTHING easier when it comes to scrogging. Even so much as just being able to see what buds are from what plant, under a communal screen it can become quite busy and confusing and watering is a pain in the tits

Ive checked your diaries guys, very good! and your diaries have added fuel to the fire for my new lust for scrogging lol
my next question, how much wider than the top of your pots would you say is enough for a modular scrog?

You can go as far as you want with length, but I'd keep the width almost the same width as the pots, poss a tad wider. If you go too wide you may have difficulty watering.
Have a look at the overall footprint of you grow area, then make the screens (if you decide to mod scrog) fit the footprint with around a 10cm border, this allows better airflow.

hey zappa, Im thinking of getting this sativa champion pack from thctalk shop The Paradise Sativa Champion Pack strains are:
• NEBULA "starcloud" was bred in 1996, this variety received the name for its stellar qualities. Nebula has an open structure that is excellent for indoor farming where the plants perform with optimal results in a sea of green set-up. Using 20 plants per square meter in this system, yields can be as high as a half-kilo. Nebula will do well in hydro, coco or soil indoors. This variety has been successfully grown outdoors in Holland and would be an appropriate choice for outdoor gardens in temperate zones that offer a 9 week minimum flowering time before the first frost.
Cannabis Cup in 1999 and 3rd prize at the Highlife Cup 2004 (Hydro category).
• JACKY WHITE smells like a grapefruit tree all through her flowering period, which finishes in 60 days at most, with an abundance of chunky colas glittering and luminescent with resin. Her indoor harvest is impressive - up to 600g per square meter under a 600-watt high-pressure sodium light. Outside harvests are predictably larger.
• DELAHAZE is a superb variety. It is extremely potent, giving high yields and finishes early in approximately 9 weeks. To appreciate her fully let her flower one week extra which results in fine sativaish/haze flowers filling up your growroom with a beautiful aroma containing hints of citrus & mango. Still the typical haze scent remains dominant.
You think these would be ok for my plans??

M8, you can scrog what you like, but I think you have gone the right route with the Sat doms tbh.
Those should do you well m8, bear in mind that you will have to veg those babys for a while before going 12/12 though.

I'd say you'd be better with an Indica dom in a scrog.
My Pineapple Chunk's were Sativa dominant and the Indica dom Vanilla Kush and Bubbalicious I'm now doing are much better suited to the scrog

I do prefer scroggin' the sats. They tend to be able to be trained more to fill the screem imo. Plus I prefer 'em over indica anyway :)
As I said, you can scrog anything, & I do tend to have both in the tent @ one time, but I just think the sats are a tad more forgiving, & also with the buds being more "airy" I get less issues with bud rot (my ventilation is pretty much non-existant at the mo).

I dont like smoking Indi or Indi dom so will stick with sat doms, would love to go full sat but that would take too long :(
Ill prob do what I did last time and veg till they about 18" but start scrogging them before that (so 18" will be more of a guess but you know what I mean) that'd be ok wouldnt it?

i`d go for a indica dom strain, less stretch i`d imagine so easier to fill your scrog holes, i know that you`ve checked out my diary and the church is 90% indic i think, all the nodes are really close together and the holes are filling up nicely

think Im going with delahaze now, instead of the three diff sat dom strains I was thinking of doing. That super lemon certainly looks like a good strain though matey, very impressive result you ended up with!!
