yeah ive researched into it for the last few hours and i think i could make a similar system based on the same concepts for £200 or less dependant on guttering costs, basicly you have a res with a water pump, pumping through sprinkler type attatchments inside the square guttering, saturaiting the root mass in highly oxygenated nutrient solution, then theres a thin layer of it left as it drains away so like a hybrid of nft/aeroponics, im moving house in a few month this is what im goin to build, i was going to go with a RDWC moonlight stylee but hey, lets give this baby a go!!!

been looking at the aeroflo 10. its the only one that will fit in my tent. £200 though. I'd love to be confident enough to build my own system but I'm sure I'd end up flooding the whole grow area.

What I really want to see is a comparison to dwc, say for a 2 week veg from clone, then flowered and compared from harvest.

yeah id like that also as its dwc i use just now, i recon u could build somethin like the aero 10 for 50 quid mate, try it and test it in the kitchen over night if it doesnt leak ur in lol get it in the grow area, lookin online 6 foot lengths of 6" pvc guttering are £5.50 lol 2 of them cut in half would do you for a ten pot sytem or 2 side by side depending on your grow area size i recon,

i think HR built this one himself, very similar to the aeroflo, this one is a constant flood n drain setup as apposed to useing sprinklers for watering, the aircooled light system is the real winner ere, square drainpipes with end caps work well this way, especially with auto's starting 12/12 from seed, just google free hydro plans and youll find this setup explained fully.

god only knows with HR, he probably brewwed his own nutes and thats why they look so good, otherwise he uses maximum lighting poss, you will learn more from his pictures than any book on weed-believe me..

Every post that he writes is like a gospel. I read in his aeroflo thread or something that the res must remain around 60-70 degrees F. He said something about maximum oxygen retention or something at this temperature. Definately something that will stick in my mind. It's a case of finding a temperature controlled heater that could raise/reduce the temperature as the room temp changes.

Has he ever graced THCT with his presence. I'd love to see him on here, only if it was for a month or so like he does on other forums.

yeah that grow there he only used 2 x 600w and that strain green giant x ak47 is amazing for sea of green, ive been trying to sourse it for my next grow but i cant get it anywere, its the spice brothers seed co. that has them and nowere stocks them, they grow 1 huge cola like a bat lol looks amazing, yeah the oxygen saturation at its highest at a certain temp thats were u need to try keep it, so the water stays oxy ritch, i dunno if hes been here be4 id like him to do a diary but he wouldnt be allowed here as he does mega amounts of plants usualy, i hear though that he done one plant and got 72oz dry from it lol

ill sell you one when ive built another, im doing a new design soon thats actually affordable for most people useing waterfarms, similar to IWS and Waterpack acs from GH, but with some Heath magic thrown in, also it is the same buckets as the american kit off ebay, i can also do it with 30ltr farms recirculating,
i will post any news as it happens

its all cost n time dependant, hard for me to answer straight, more spares i buy the cheaper they become, im still trying to regain confidence in suppliers since my last bust, i cant grow at home anymore (for a while), so im gonna focus on shit like this,

so all that is then is a farm set up that has been modded to drip feed from the top but also recirculate the nutes? am i right in thinkin thats the theory behind it mate?
