TROUBLED star Amy Winehouse has suffered two drug overdoses in the past year, and may have permanently damaged her brain in the process, a report said.

According to The Sun, which quoted "a close pal" of the singer, Winehouse overdosed in August last year after taking a dangerous cocktail of cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, ketamine and crystal meth, also known as "ice".

The tabloid said that the first overdose resulted in such bad convulsions that they were “like a scene from The Exorcist”.

And her body was so frail from drug use that doctors were scared she would break bones during a fit.

The second overdose came in July this year, when Winehouse is said to have smoked enough cannabis to giver herself "cannabis poisoining".

The paper said that doctors were concerned her brain was damaged by the cannabis overdose when she displayed symptoms normally associated with schizophrenia.

Doctors have also warned Winehouse that another overdose could easily kill her.

Had a rake through our online medical journal thing we have at work and aparently it is perfectly possible and there have been a few recorded fatalities but the quantities need to be massive. Its the same as chocolate poisoning, hypothetically possible, but logistically, almost impossible.

It's just another attempt to make cannabis sound as bad or worse then other drugs such as meth, crack and smack. The fact of the matter is that there are people who will believe it is possible, I've smoked my fair share of an oz between me and two mates over the course of 36 hours before and had no adverse effects other then a bad cough and the inability to move. By the end of the bag we were just smoking for smoking, proper fucked though. Took me a few days to recover, can't smoke more than an 8th in one sitting now, because I don't try, there are plenty of people every year who go out on a weekend, get blindingly drunk, collapse and die of liver failure. I love getting into arguments about the pros and cons of weed against other drugs, everyone knows they are fighting a losing battle when they argue the finer points of alcohol against weed with me. The only way I can see our good friend Amy consuming enough cannabis to almost kill her is either ingesting it in plenty of cake, mixing THC into a solution and injecting it, or literally not having a spliff out of her hand for more then 30 seconds over the space of 36 hours. We all know she doesn't have the mental capacity to bake a cake let alone prepare a solution for injecting, since it involves more than heating it in a spoon. As for smoking that much, she would be too fucked on crack and meth thinking theres insects under her skin to be able to roll OR smoke. I hope the bitch dies I'm sick and tired of hearing about her in the news, shes not worthy of my spit in her face, I'm probably going to piss people off here but when I first heard her I didn't think she was even that talented, now I'm glad some people buy her music at least it saves her shoplifting and thieving off of her family like most class A addicts. I'm sick and tired of her, please someone put her out of my misery.
