View Full Version : Intake From Loft?

A freinds basic setup is a spare bedroom turned into a grow room. Got most things set up but they just want to make sure their not overlooking the intake once switched to flower (and the extra light/humidity/temp that comes with it).

Current plan is to take "fresh" air from the loft using a low powered intake fan, 4" ducting would obviously be filtered properly to stop pests and such that are an obvious problem in lofts.. outtake would be something approaching 6"(havnt bought the filter yet) straight into an area where the leftover smell will be treated by an ozone generator.

Hope i havnt been too cryptic or vague, the basic question im asking is CAN they intake air from a loftspace (isnt possible to take it from anywhere else) aslong as they filter it properly.

Look forward to replies, thanks :smokie:

It would be ok in winter but your attic can get very hot in the summer months. If you crawl right into the eves of the attic there should be a small gap for ventilation so get your ducting in there and draw from the outside.

Thanks for the input. I work in lofts almost everyday so im familiar with their layouts etc, ill see if i can find a good spot in the heaves or failing that, fit a new 4" grill similiar to the one used outside my bathroom :P
