Its my first grow and Im not really sure how long they have to go, but it looks like they're still gonna be a few weeks yet!

The description of the seeds say 8-9 weeks, but this seems like complete BS to me! When I first started growing I said I would be patient and wait till they finished properly, but I have to admit Im champing at the bit for a smoke on the wee buggers, but, like I say, they seem an awfy way away yet?

Is this normal? I reckon theyre gonna be 10-11 weeks seed to harvest, at least!!!

My influence for this is to use a Ring culture type setup. I plan to put a plant in a cup say the size of a coffee mug and suspend this inside a container. The cup will be filled with normal soil. Then the roots will dangle down (nice long ones hopefully) into a reservoir which I will allow to evaporate every so often to stop the fluid getting old or to stop anything nasty growing. My question is will the plant be ok with this sort of treatment?

I plan to water with nutrients (obviously) which will be the primary source of feed. One worry is that the water will evaporate from the bottom and leave a concentrated nutrient powder which will only increase with time so I might have to water every so often with less strong mixtures. I dont know the 'flow rate' of the current model, but Im guessing its significantly less than the TT (bloody hope it is anyway, or its been a waste of cash!) so I'm expecting the 'wooshing' noise to increase.
Its just about livable with presently, noise wise, and I'd like to keep it that way.
Without going to the expense of a 'proper' silencer, what can i do?
Would stepping up the size of the exhaust (diameter) to 6 or even 8 inches (presumably there are tapered adaptors available to alter the diameter?) make it less apparant. I'm thinking the increased diameter will slow the flow and loose some noise?
Am I right in thinking the longer the better (on exhaust side) ducting helps? Currently about 3 meters, the last meter of which is 'perforated'. (the fan is about 5cm behind the filter, another 5 cm then a 90 degree bend (unavoidable) then 3 meters of 4" plastic ducting)
Acoustic ducting? Does that stuff work?
Any other tips?

Anyway, this lady had been pollinated and I got a few nice healthy seeds from the bottom half of her. I just had a dig through the rotten part (outside well away from the groom) and found more seeds but wonder if they are ok. The seeds are well developed with hard hulls. I'm guessing they'll be good as wild plants can rot so there must be built in protection. I suspect the seeds will have spores/mold on them as they have a tacky coating. ec + ph pen
ph down solution
1x super lemon haze seed

Im sure i have enough lighting from my last grows i have got a super lemon seed as it says on the pick n mix site that its rated when growing in water. The guy down my grow shop says i will get high alkaline in the rockwool cubes i got off him so use the ph down stuff i got off him also to get the seed going and then as and when its needed in the growing phase. I have 2 airstones for now but can use up to 4 on my pump

Im just looking for any other tips to get me going i guess so i dont murder the thing ha.

This is a fairly new term for me and have watched a few internet vids on how to make. I'm assuming this is what skuff is? Which I have smoked in Amsterdam a few times. It's good but I've had better Ice-o-lator and bubble hash although it's nice to have a different kind of high. Possibly the same as stuff as what you get at the bottom of a multi layered grinder. Watching the bubble hash process , there's obviously different types of highs from the hash made from various layers of oils/weed. Basically I'm looking to download some games (free) for my old girl. She's just bought a new laptop and wants me to fill it full of games.

We tried the 'Big Fish' games on her last computer but the package I downloaded (from torrent sites) came with shed loads of spy/malware which even the guy at the PC shop couldn't shift. (hence the new laptop).

Just spoke to the missus and got the green light to assemble a 'small' grow room, bless.

First time for me, so new to the scene and as such, no real experience in growing, expert consumer though I'd say, it's not exactly on my CV, but there's easily 15 years! :joint:

I've already come across an issue, however. I'm looking at two lights and I'm torn between which to go with!

Both lights;
90W UFO LED Grow Light
225 Led Board (Red and Blue) Grow Light - 14w

Captain obvious says go with the board that costs less than £30, but the other side of what’s left of my brain says that the light is the pinnacle of the harvest, so a shit light would basically be a waste of £30, I digress, I'm sure you see what I'm saying.

I'm thinking 3, maybe 4 plants to start with. It'll really be much of a trial run for the first couple of goes at it, but when perfected, the room may well expand a little - I have an empty loft, I think there may be a suitcase or 2 in it, so we might as well put it to good use!

I'll need to work on a way to keep the temperature between 21 and 23 Celsius; this task is aptly named 'Project Weekend' Ha!

Can I please have a pointer in the right direction for which light would go down best, and also which seed(s) you'd recommend for a first run?

I've just found the cup and the 3 or 4 branches were still alive to my surprise. Then when I lifted them out they were sprouting roots!! Wtf? I didn't think that could happen just by dropping them In water. Any way I've repotted one of them I may even pot all of them. But can I switch them back to veg? i flipped the light cycle to 12/12 almost a week ago
my question is will flowering when rootbound have drastic problems like restricting growth or slowing growth?
if its best i repot, then i will
but thats a pain in the ass lol... i would repot into a 20litre bucket with drilled holes in the bottom
but the larger pot could lead me to further problems of the plant getting too big for my 60x60 tent.

Ive tried Greens and no joy, they also phoned the supplier for me because Global Hydro dont speak to customers apparently and they cant supply one either?!

Gutted because I gave my mate the money to buy it for me (dont want stuff delivered to my house) and he bought the wrong size lol, so I sent it back and had to pay extra for p&p and for the bigger size etc, anyway so far its cost £50 in total for a product that should have only cost £35 and then I break the fooking connector when I try and put it together lol :banghead::banghead: Anyways I dont fancy paying another £35 + postage for another kit just for the corner piece but cant find them anywhere. Dont suppose anybody has any suggestions where to find one from?
