I'm getting the secret jardin ds60 2 a small tent that measures 60x60x140. I want to use a 250hps its going in the attic so would like to use a cool tube or air cooled hood but I'm not sure if its possible to use either of those setups in this tent. Its got only 1 intake/extraction port at top and 1 on the bottom on other side. Don't you need to have 2 ports at top for cooltube or air cooled hood to run straight through? Its getting everything to fit in that space. What's the best system to have in there? 4 or 5" fans and filter? Passive intake or 2 fans?

Have a few soil grows under my belt but no hydro experience.
All my inspiration for this NFT grow came from this Thread by @stickyickyicky "250w HPS NFT Scrog growdrobe - Big Buddha Cheese cutting * 2" (Sorry don't have enough posts to post a link!) a fantastic grow and yield!

I will be using:
NFT 205GT
125w CFL for veg
250w HPS for flowering, with air cooled hood
RVK125 for extraction, with scrubber
Vita Link Max grow and bloom nutes
Rhizotonic while clones were rooting, and probably throughout veg period
Oxy-Plus H202 at .5ml/litre for full res change and .2ml/litre when topping up

Clones were rooted in small rockwool plugs then transplanted to 4" rockwool cubes once rooted. 4" cubes was allowed to root then placed in to NFT system, I inserted tile spacers under each corner of the cubes so that they wasn't sitting directly on the top tray. Cubes placed in NFT on the 3rd of May. One layer of spreader mat was placed on the top tray before cubes were placed.

Keeping res temps between 18 and 23C is a real pain, which is why I decided to run H202. I did a test run with no plants in before I started and noticed it would be difficult keeping res temps down. I peaked at 27C, high I know! Currently sitting on 24C, still high I know :(. I had my pump running real slow at first, then turned it up to half power and noticed temps not rising as quick as they was, so I might be able to control temps with a single frozen bottle of water placed in at the right time, I will be figuring out the perfect timing over the next few days to see me peak at the lowest possible temperature.

Roots are coming along, noticed a slight darker color on a few tips, hoping its not the dreaded root rot! Roots have now attached themselves to spreader mat so I am unable to look underneath them.

Had a ph issue. First time I filled the res (friday 3rd) I set ph to 5.8 and ec between 1.0 and 1.2, the following morning it was up at 6.8, so ph'd back down to 5.8, the following morning was up to 6.3, ph'd back down to 5.8 then checked the following morning, 6.2. So I decided to do a full res change and ph back down to 5.8, I figured maybe I didn't flush the rockwool sufficiently when I conditioned them. Checked the next day it was above 6 again. I decided to ph down to 5.5 in the hope it would raise to 6.2ish over the next few days. However I over did it a bit and hit 5.3! With no ph up to hand I thought what the hell I will leave it and it will probably spike again over night, well that was monday evening I ph'd down, and right now I am sitting on 5.5 ph, so a nice slow increase what I would like, just started to low to begin with! I was going to top up the tank with a higher ph water to bring the ph up a bit today (thursday), but the res is pretty full still, so I decided to leave it until tomorrow and just do a full res change but this time start with a 5.5/5.6 ph. Also, with all this ph stuff going on my ec stayed between 1.0 and 1.2, a good sign? As I understand it I want the ph to steadily raise slowly and the ec to remain the same for equilibrium?

[On a side note, are there many people using NFT 205 GT's? It says its a 20ltr res but I can only safely fill it with 15ltr. I have put something under the pump end to raise it slightly for better drainage on the top tray, about 1cm.]

Plants have easily doubled in size since entering the NFT. I think I may have a slight deficiency, but my thinking is that's probably been caused by the ph all over the place?

Also, using tap water that is left to stand overnight. Has a high ph, and an ec of 0.7 or 0.8 out the tap so quite high. I am only using 1ml/ltr of Vita Link Max nutes to bring it up to around 1.1 at the moment. Sound ok?

One more thing, I seem to have a lot of air under the spreader mat, and the spreader mat lifts slightly as if air is getting trapped beneath it where the water hits after coming out the pump, is this normal?

Lastly, I am still to source a scrog screen, hoping to get one sorted over the weekend. I know I have left it a bit late to top, but it can still be done now right? Even if I just take off an inch or so?

Just a quick post, ive been reading these forums for a couple of days now trying to get ideas on how to grow a plant in my back garden but unfortunately the space I have is very small so I need a plant that wont grow very tall, im not too worried about a low yield. Im planning on growing some sort of auto and I just a strain that will be as small as possible (as I said, I am not concerned that the yield will be low)

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Unfortunately I have no other choice but to grow in this small location.

TL:DR - I need an auto strain that is as small as possible

It was awesome smoke and pulled about 3oz from 3 auto blueberrys with the 250w hps.

Thing is it was a lot of hassle when the plants got bigger and emptying the res and the heat in there was getting upto 40*C! I have a cfl red and blue 200W too but it's crap compared to HPS!

Do I do my Auto Blue Mystics I've ordered the same again or make a taller stealthy wardrobe? Or do them in there with soil? Argh!!! Decisions decisions.

Ive been growing for years, in the run up to me stopping growing I was getting it totally nailed, sweet tasting green and plenty of it but im always searching for improvement and upgrade in my growing equipment/technique and this is how I ended up trying the vertical SCROG. I grow with 250/300 CFLs and using flat screens as I had been seems to be wasting half the bulb, the CFL just doesn't have the penetration to make use of reflected light from the 'top' of the bulb in a traditional flat screen SCROG nor anything more than a few inches away along the far edge of the screen. My answer to making most efficient use of my space and electricity bill was to turn my screen vertical and wrapped round the bulbs so rather than maybe 1foot square max of growing area I was easily filling almost 2 foot sq.

First thing to say :D this was in no way a stealth grow, what ended up as two small tents sounded like a 747 waiting for take-off in my cupboard, I think it still comes in under the small scale category and covers many aspects of growing which is why it isn't in hydro or scrogging etc.
My pics are what I have been able to find buried on my PC they aren't in any chronological order or even of a single grow but simply a collection of images to try and convey what I was up to. If someone can suggest a discreet way of posting a video (not my daily life youtube account ) I have some good footage.
