Default Need help with police matter

So basically last October I was stopped with my mate driving my misses car transporting some of my stash to my mates house and basically I was uninsured but managed to get away without them finding my Mary 😁 but anyways I thought I'd got away until today, got a letter for a Summons to court HOWEVER as I was reading through the police witness statements they've give the wrong license plate registration so I'm tempted to plead no guilty on the basis I've never been in a car under that registration Lols any ideas on what I can do to get out of this hole peeps?

have a look online for traffic lawyers, and legislation.. some will give you free advice..

i am sure there is a 90 day time frame on serving these notices.. and as you say they have fucked up with the details.. definitely plead not guilty or whatever to the notice they have served you as you have not driven that car

That's what I thought I'm pretty sure the fuvkets told me id recieve something in the post within two weeks and that didn't happen you can imagine me being over the moon, the car was impounded tho and the misses had to go get it that night, theres no way of them checking that and finding the real registration number is there?

    Maybe. Perhaps even probably.*

Either they have the correct registration at the impound yard, and will be able to dig that up. Or, when the car was collected someone must surely have signed for it, and that document will probably have a registration number, which may be the one you're being charged with.

If I were you, I'd see a solicitor and ask their advice.

*How many non-committal phrases can I fit in one post, I wonder?

They may well have done, and nothing may come of it

I think you're making the best move by seeking professional advice.

You have a case. Plead not guilty.

But seek advise first before doing anything.

When you go to court, stand their all smug let them prattle on usual bollocks a bit, when its your turn to plead , go not guilty on the grounds you never been, seen or owned a car of that reg, im sure it will get slung out straight off. How can you be guilty of commiting a crime in a car you never seen or heard of, not guilty man for sure. Dont say or phone squat till your day in court.
