Cool beans, if maybe he could mod it to make it fit in a slow cooker with water in like using a water bath / bain-marie then there will also be no need for a external heat souce that i think is the problem.

Looking on wiki it mentions that Isopropyl alcohol is denser then air, and only needs to be 2 to 12 % in air to be combustible.

well after doing some homework i discovered what i need to build is called a collector/condenser and is not a still under the law, looking at my rice cooker it already has a perfect hole in the glass lid, even got a rubber seal on it!so i plan simply to conect to that hole a pipe made of coiled copper prob car fuel line or similar and have this submerged in cold water with ice cubes in then drip straight to a catch container,i figure that i may have to come up with some kind of seal between the lid and the top of the rice pot,but i got loads car gaskets and o rings so will play about till i find just the right thing, the thing is i am not dealing with high pressure or anything its really just a case of catching and cooling the fumes from the pot and directing them to a pot, cant be that hard.i figure if it even saves 50% of the iso for reuse it would be worth it,and if it stops/reduces the associated smell that would make it much safer/stealthier. i will post up any ideas that work.

Cool, you can get draft excluder for windows and doors, not the foam type but the rubber type Click image for larger version.

ID:	204688or use silicone sealant, clingfilm and grease up one side, apply to other side then press in, leave to cure then clean up. But if your a man that gets gaskets all day long then that will do as long as you can get a good mould.

Copper is a good conductor of heat, and therefore the cold, so just be careful the ice doesn't cool the tubing up too far up near the lid else it might condense just before it goes down.

i couldnt see any direct reference in the forum rules, but im sure it will be pointed out if there is,besides its all hypothetical anyway at the moment,i think tbh that posting anything that makes it safer for people to produce oil for medicine whilst reducing the risk could not be considered a bad thing?i tried mixing the oil in warm milk, left it to cool and then threw in a packet of butterscotch angel delight, fucking lovely and you wouldnt have a clue the oil was in there.of subject slightly there!anyway i will post any developments, peace.
