Chronic marijuana use may cause inflammation in the brain that leads to problems with coordination and earning, a new study in animals suggests.

Keywords here MAY, suggests and ANIMALS

In the study, mice were given delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the active ingredient of marijuana, for six days. Then the mice were required to perform several tasks to test their coordination, as well as their ability to learn to associate a sound with a puff of air to the eye. During the latter task, called eye blink conditioning, mice should learn to anticipate the air puff, and blink when they hear the sound.
Cannabis smokers don't just get D9-THC, also how were they given?

More research is needed to determine what kinds of problems these "cerebellar deficits" cause people to have in everyday life,Ozaita said. It's possible that microglial cell activation in the cerebellum causes hard-to-detect problems such as a slightly delayed reaction time while driving that researchers wouldn't know about unless they tested for them, he said.
So it's POSSIBLE it doesn't too!

In addition to brain inflammation, smoking cannabis has also been linked to lower IQ and an increased risk of schizophrenia.

Is this really necessary in a piece on brain inflammation?

I don't know, but from reading the article it is far removed from the reality of the drugs actual use. I read this as anti-cannabis as it is unrealistic to think that people are taking pure D9-THC, also are they injecting it or are they eating it? What about dose? Maybe it is all in the research but the article on it is piss poor in not reporting these things, as one would expect from Fucx News!

Such a load of shit. It's probably information from the study they did years ago where they force fed mice smoke so heavy that it lacked oxygen which is what killed the brain cells (lack of oxygen) it had nothing to do with the cannabis. They planted this article because (if you look further) the site claims that all of these side effects are due to cannabis, BUT WAIT!!! They are working on pills in which you can take, that will fix these side effects!!! That is why this article was put out.
