    What is this and how to cure it?

    Looks like root rot to me, horrible sludge.

    Keep your res temps below 19'C and have plenty of water circulation. Air bubbles help a lot in aerating the water.


    I think liquid oxygen can help but destroys any good/bad bacteria in the res so is a 50/50 thing I think.

    Its fixable but hassle when you got it.

    your DIY system needs some tuning. More oxygen is a good start.

    you could also look into benificial bacteria, as you will probably find it will return now every grow.(i have )
