Default trim then dry or dry then trim ?

hey guys! im asking this because i normally trim then dry but always seem to get loose kinda buds, a friend of mine says that by drying first will allow the leafs to somewhat dry into the buds creating dense tight buds then i trim off the excess once they are dry and the excess should just fall off? anybody give me advice on getting tight buds?

    Trim then dry.

Drys much faster as well and far less chance of mold.

    And its easier IMO

Density is down to a few factors, temps, humidity, lighting and mainly strain.

I always thought the density of the bud was controlled during grow. But I hate those commercial nugs that are so hard you need a tool. SO I guess this question makes sense.

I think the commercial nugs end up like that from vac packing in mass.
