    Default Bud rot question

I just finished my harvest and alls looking good except i had bud rot in two of the biggest buds (gutted) from what i can see all the others are ok.
Is it possible that the spores from the rot could have spread into the other buds during the harvest (or before) if so could they start to rot during the drying process?

    Thanks

Yes they can indeed spread during the drying process please make sure its as dry as you can get it and use lots of oscillating fans. The spores can jump from bud to bud even when drying. Its very easily spread so be careful mate! All the best

Thanks for the feedback chaps, Ive got a few fans blowing around and so far theres no more rot appearing hopefully it'll stay that way for the rest or the drying period.

I put the bud with rot into a little box and left them in a separate room and they have now rotted completely and also have mould on... quite interesting to see how quickly the rot spread through the buds i guess i had a lucky escape with the rest of the crop!

Im now a bit worried about my tent im not going to grow again for a few months as im going away should i give the tent a good scrub down before i pack it away, will that and the rest period be enough to kill any spores that may be in there..?

    Thanks again

I dont grow indoors but if it was me id definitely scrub or spray your tent out, not worth the risk of screwing up a new crop for half an hour cleaning

Thanks Spike everything just about dry now and no more mould/rot showed so im happy with that.. Im gonna give the tent and everything else a good scrub over the weekend let it dry out then dismantle it all cos i wont be doing another grow til next feb. Hopefully that will get rid of any spores left hanging around.

Warm and high humidity mate poor air circulation adds to the risk also
