I have been running my Aquafarm a few days, and of course I am getting some algae growth. Is there any reason NOT to add a few more inches of rock and bury the drip ring ? I hate algae.

It wont be an issue covering the ring as long as the root systems still getting watered/feed.

Just cover the top of the farm with foil or summit...if your pump gets blocked you might not notice with the ring buried...you can always remove foil to check.

As wah wah said mate.. cover the top mate.. I used a sheet of mylar with a hole/slit in the middle and it worked a treat.
Will you be running the drippers throughout the whole grow?

you can cover the holes with foil tape and just leave the bottom hole in the ring dripping so its not that much splash ...you could also cover the plant with a waterbottle till it get past the ring
think hes finished this grow Lou :/
