i have noticed that with 24/0 the plants are not as tall as when i give them some darkness but the buds seems a bit bigger. also in the off time the temperature could drop a lot depending where you are growing, check that out before deciding what light schedule to use

Temp drop is the exact reason im running 24hr cycle

I have no more than a 5 degree c fluctuation with the temps.

It was either spend money heating it up during light out which uses around 500 - 600 watts of heating power or run my hps 24hrs a day. For me its a no brainer as i would ralther spend money on light (which gives off alot of waste heat) than just heat.

24/7 for me too. Could not find anything factual to convince me darkness was required so decided to shoot for increased yield with 24/7 lighting

You can't force an auto to stay in veg.... that is why they are called autos

I would use both Bulbs through the whole cycle. No need to change from one to the other.

I was very happy with my outcome of my first Auto grow. 18/6 for the entire time and exceeded the suggested crop per plant too. I am of the mind that plants need to have dark time and that having said dark time makes for less stressed and healthy plants.
