As cannabis is a C3 rather than a C4 plant, a dark period is not required (bar for flowering photoperiods), it just sees the right thing to do as that is the way that we perceive things....

24\0 for autos as mc said cannabis is capable or continuous photosynthesis as long as its lit. they do NOT require darkness to process co2. It does not need or benefit from darkness at all, your plant will grow bigger and faster under 24\0.

I hear you, but old habits die hard I guess. Makes me feel better about the plants when they do have a bit of dark time. Go with what M_C suggests he has produced the goods time after time.

Me I am going to stick with the 18/6 on Auto's.

I run 21/3 as a norm, as I agree with it making me feel better if they have some down time I was just saying that dark periods are not required with cannabis

its not about force, its about turning on or not turning on the bloom button on the LED and when. :P (trick to get bigger autos)
if u have veg and bloom,u can use the veg longer than u think (the blue light), and thats how autos stretch after white hairs appears.
so leave em for 2 to 3 weeks from white hairs before using the blom spectrum on a LED. if u use the bloom spectrum to soon, all energi will go to feeding the flowers and they will be small autos, the buds will get big laiter, use loop to look at crystals to know when done, maybe they will not finnish before 10\12 week, instead of 8 \ 9 but better shit
use pk13 and bloom boost from canna. 1\4 - 1\3 of usual dose after you finnish "vegmode" the ressult will be great if u have a led with veg and bloom specter\button.

Hi mate, whilst I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm, you cannot hold an auto in veg. Autos flower by age rather than light cycle or spectrum.

When the third true node of an auto has finished forming then it will flower within a few days. Once flowering starts, there is no known way of delaying it

Do you ever change the cycle at all when flowering starts or do you run thoose hours for the whole grow? I was running 22/2 but my autos seemed to be growing veg leaves in flower so switched to 20/4 and seems to have done the trick.

My lighting times stay constant from beginning to end

The leafs you are referring to are fan leafs, they will keep being produced until approx half way through flower
