Day 1

All 4 up and running. Lights changed to 400w Cooltube @ 2ft away. 24/0

All watered with 1lt each, with 0.1ml P/L of Biopac, Bioplus & MagCal.

All looking good, watered with 1litre each @ 0.1ml, biopac, bioplus & magcal.



Temps are getting up pretty quick in loft, this going to be last of the autos til winter, to much light required...

May I ask what water do you use? I'm asking becouse of cal/mag you're adding, usually you don't add cal at such young age with tap water.

Just rested tap water doc, its a bit naff here though very hard and 0.6 ec. I had serious deficiency last grow. 0.1ml per litre is just a dash.

I Was airing on the safe side..

Do you think stop the mag/cal then??

0.6 is hard and mostly its cal.
When you get a cal def is most likely becouse of acidic medium. As I understand, there is a lot of different types of Calcium, some in easy for the plant form and some un hard one. But on this level of ec and "traditional" lighting (aka no leds) you should be ok. Just monitor the runoff, anything less then 6.0 will be hard on Cal.

Sorry doc its 600ppm 0.3ec my mistake.. Run offs are 8.6ph and 2.2ec this morning from watering.

Forgot that you're growing in soil...
2.2ec runoff means that you have planty of food in the medium and you don't need to add anything except root stim and vitamins.
0.3 is good water and you can continue to add cal, but from my experience, I get cal def at around week 3-4 from sprout and in week 2-3 of 12/12 or fem preflowers. In that time I look the most for cal def.
Then again I have cal junky plant that always want cal and show def if there isn't any in the feed, despite the other 3 from the same strain and show no cal def for 66 days...
P. S. Your ph is high, should be around 6.5.
I think its so high becouse of the initial ph of the buffer and will go down with the watering.
I'm recommending going with water-water-feeding in veg and water-feed-feed at flowering.

DAY 14

All watered with 1.25l each @ 0.1ml p/l of bioplus, biopac, magcal.
All looking good v quick growth rate so far. Temps and humidity good with current colder weather.

DAY 21

These girls are growing like beasts atm, the stalks are like 1/2" thick, very stocky plants and they are guzzling water down. On 3 day feeds. still at same specs 0.1ml magcal, biopac, bioplus. The growth rate this week is awesome.

Weekly high/lows 28c/80%rh 18c/50%rh, 2ft from Cooltube still on 20/4 to day 38. Run off still about 2.4EC?, PH 7-8.
I have them standing in water baths for increased humidity, Bath has same 0.1ml.







Looking back over old diary these girls are outstripping the growth rate in NFT grow I did, in fact they are twice the size at day 21..... Happy days.
