We had local beef reared, killed and butchered all within 5 miles of where I live, but to be truthful it was very mediocre, far to lean. Only cooked for 50 minutes so should have been good sadly not so, and I have bought £100 worth of the stuff to chew, and chew, and chew my way through.
I got a slab of beef the other day that was like that , sirloin tip slab , was well priced at 50$ for 8lb/3.5kg approx , like i always get ,just this time it was.sooooo tough ,we couldnt chew any of it ,even marinated over night , wouldnt even give it tonmy dog tbh ....

I only paid £30 English which is about 52 Canadian dollars.. It's all locally produced as well & I try not use supermarkets as a lot of it is pumped full of water...

Marinating some meat for a curry tomorrow. Some quality Beef Brisket.
Masala, ground coriander, garlic & bit of lime juice. Oh and some fresh ginger.

Yeah just had a chicken Kiev fest. Plus mint new potatoes. My own breath has reported me to the scuffers. They were delicious but my own body is saying "WTF?? are we meant to process this shizzle?" I think they are called Chicken Kievs as they are basically meltdown food that requires me to be encased in concrete until I have gone beyond my half life. I popped into my mates and as soon as I sat down he said "Kievs?". FFS. Lol. I can actually feel it coming out of my pores. No probs. I will scrape my armpits and have it on toast in the AM. Jeez, I have even sickened myself.
