Default Guerilla Growing: Is anyone doing it at the moment?

I've been thinking about this for a while and now that it's spring i though that I should give it a try, i live in the city but have been thinking of spots that are near parks and creeks close to where I live, so i was thinking of getting around 5 different spots and planting around 7 plants throughout all these spots... i would start the seedlings in my own backyard for 4 or 6 weeks then move them to the selected spots. is anyone doing somthing similair, or has anyone done somthing like this.

Yep i've done this a few times but plant atleast 4-6 plants at each spot as you'll proberly lose a few to critters munching on them plus you'll get a few males as well.
If you can't visit the plants very often get a big plastic sheet cover it in dirt and plant the plants through holes in the plastic sheet and give them a massive watering, the plastic sheet will stop alot of the water evaporating fast so you'd only need to visit them once every week or 2.

Yes, I've also grown plants in the woods, but deer are a major problem. They'll eat a young crop down to the ground in no time. Also, finding a hidden spot with ample sunlight can be a challenge, especially late in the season when your plants will, perhaps, be the greenest thing around, your chosen spot can very easily reveal itself.

    yeah word

but im not sure what kind of animals will get at my plants, cause we dont have deer over here.
ill probably just plant two in every spot mainly cause im not experienced.
and im not sure what strain the seeds are
to be honest i think some of my seedlings are different strains.
ill post up a whole diary showing pictures every 2weeks when i harvest.

A good way of keeping your sprouts safe, when there young is to keep plastic bottles over them untill they get ot there 3rd-4th set of leaves and can fend for themselves.Ive had problems is the past with snails eating my sprouts leaves, and because they where young they didnt have much hope.Thats what im doing now, keeps the snails and whatever else out,and keeps the sprouts nice and warm.

You might wanna consider putting some kind of fencing around your plot(s) too,to keep out rabbits and other pesty animals.Chicken wire works well.

Good luck with it mate, ill be waiting for pics

The first thing to look for is the presence of litter. That means don't go there.

I'l probs be giving it a go. Thought about germinating some seeds indoors and then keep them in a greenhouse for a wekk and then taking them to their spots and cover with cut off plastic bottles with air holes. Sound ok?

much better off starting and keeping em for a month or two, then theres no need for the water bottle over the top, and the roots have a chance to really get established....

plus they are in there final position for a bit less time, so less chance of them being found...

LALs right, veg em indoors for as long as possible and get them as established as possible .. it'll pay dividends in the long run Grape
Why we all should be growing outdoors:

"... it is scientifically proven the best marijuana is grown under the sun. There is no indoor light that can replicate the sun light, the range of cannabinoids and terpene that can develope in the marijuana resin thanks to the sunlight is never achievable on a indoor setting ..."

Yeah I think I might keep them indoors for a week and then put them in a greenhouse for another 3-4 weeks and then take them away...
