Default DIY Flood and Drain table

I've got a spare wardrobe left over so I've decided to make into into a vegging/nursery for my younger plants before they go into the IWS system.

I plan on making my own flood and drain table which will hold 6 plants, maybe more if needed. The only question I have is about the pots I plan to use. I was thinking of just using using normal pots but then I had the idea of using air pots.

Can anybody think of why I shouldn't use them? My thinking behind it was...

-They will flood quicker and more efficiently

-They will get a better/bigger root ball, ready for the transplant

Only downside I think of is...

-The roots would probably dangle out the bottom a bit more.....But I was gonna lift them a bit so they didn't sit in the left over nutes so they would prune them selfs anyway

Can anyone else offer any suggestions and tips maybe?

Ah nice to see a reply

I'm not really into drippers dude, I'd rather use a flood and drain, I know how to work them. Surely you'd have the same problem with the roots out the bottom with dripper system anyway? It's not a big problem anyway is it.

I'm thinking of starting them in either 1L or 3L airpots in coco. Then once they've been vegged under a 250w cfl for a couple week they'll be going in the IWS

I haven't got no great white matey but I use these granules from plant magic which are the bollocks if you ask me.

Yeah the granules are amazing. I was very impressed with the difference they made

Yeah the 250w cfl is a power plant one and it's quite powerful for a cfl
