    Default 12/12 Photoperiod

I have a couple of beautiful hash bomb plants in the greenhouse. They are very healthy and about 1.4m tall, with pre-flowers. I wanted to induce flowering to bring on an earlier harvest as its for medicinal use, so made some covers to go over them on a frame from blackout lining. Have been doing 12/12 photoperiod for the past week but am worried that I am damaging the leaves with the covers coming on and off. Is it risky to stop this process once its started? Any advice would be welcome as this is very new to me, Guin

    Hi, welcome to THCTalk

No problem with that, they'll just carry on vegging

Ok cool I think I've got this, so as I already have the preflowers, they will just continue vegging as females, until the natural light cycle changes. I bought feminized hash bomb as it had such a fast turnaround, but I guess that must apply just to indoor growing. These plants must be 12 wks old now and are beautiful! Gonna have to give some serious thought into whether to carry on covering, or whether to wait it out...

    Hey Guin,

I'm growing the same way. I'm 9 days into flowering now.

My first idea was the use a cover over a frame, but had the same concerns you had. My GF (much more fkin practical than me!) built a cubicle out of the blackout PVC and bamboo. It opens similar to a shower cubicle with a lid that comes down on top. I then just peg around it. I used some flexi tubing for an inlet and outlet and attached with masking tape. You need a couple of fans to keep the air moving but they all fit inside this 3ftx4ft box.

The good thing about it is that you only have to roll back 2 sides to expose the plants, so cuts down on potential damage to leaves and stems etc. I started a thread in the novice section and there is a couple of pics of it in there. You may find it helpful. Good luck with it all
