Dimmable ballasts & autos

Hello people.

I am currently in week 2 Veg (week 3 from seed) of my first auto grow (heavyweight fast & vast) & I am currently running 600w HPS with a lumitek dimmable ballast.

Normally with photoperiod I would run the 75% setting through Veg until the stretch had finished & then switch to bloom nutes & go 100% on the ballast so that they get maximum light to start making fat buds.

Obviously Autos are different & they grow/make bud at the same time. So, when would be the best time to switch to 100%? I'm already seeing the first pistils in week 2.

Am i right that they are still getting taller till about week 5?

Advice from experience preferred.

i use the same ballast, and i used to do them at 400W settin for the first 2 weeks, then 600W for the next 6 weeks, then put it on super lumens for the last fortnite, when the buds start to really pile it on.

Did over 1 gram per watt growing the ogre by joint doctor, and auto anesthesia by pyramid seeds.8 plants.
Dont recommend the ogre, it wasnt the best
