I know this post hasn't been commented on in a while, but hoping I can get an answer. First I would very much like to thank you for this tutorial! I used it to attempt my first clones recently. It's been about 8 or 9 days since I've cut them (I wrote it down but don't have my notebook on me at the moment). I'm not seeing any roots yet, but I know it can take a while for them to show. But I've started getting a bit of fungus on two of the clones where the stem meets the rockwool. What should I do about this?

Why do you cut the ends of the leaves off?

Pictures? Fungus or mold or don't you know? Possibly algae?

I get algae growth under intense lights.

I think it may be mold. I used a fungicide on it that I found at the store on it as an experiment. I'm not too worried if I lose it as I have another from the same plant that's going strong. Hopefully this will work!

I checked my old rock wool today and I had white spots on them.

They have been sat in a dark room moist for 2 weeks untouched.
Definitely mold by the looks of it.

You dont need it thats for sure. The clonex has all thats needed for the start. I would commence with the rhizo/bennies as soon as you see the roots appear. What i do when i do cuttings is dip in gelvand then into some great white. Again the great white isnt needed. Iv got by with just clonex just fine myself.
