Post Will Hydro nutrients work in an aeroponics set-up???

I've just bought a new amazon aeropinics system. Can anyone tell me, will hydro specific nutrients work in an aeroponics system? I'm hoping to use Hesi-hydro.

I recommend general hydroponics flora series and the nute schedule on growweedeasy.com

I have had great success with House and Garden Aqua flakes. Its pricey though and am looking for alternatives by doing side by sides. What I have noticed is the need to mix the res a little hotter than my rdwc systems. I'm a real newb (1 run) with low pressure aero so still dialling in things. I have had better luck with running the pump 24/7 which helps with keeping res a bit warmer than the 60ish without. Before roots are established (seeds) I only run the pump every two hours, just enough to keep hydroton and seed plugs moist. The next time I will try GH as well.

im just about to start an aeroponics/nft grow and its said the ghe flora series are the best nutes to use for some reason... after some more reading i will let you know lol but stay away from powdered nutes or bennies cos they will clog your misters etc...

what system have you got? i have a ghe aeroflo set up that im going to bastardize and do a hybrid with an nft gt150... hope i dont fuck it up lol

    Peace.. IJ

I use a tea and have not had any issues with blockages. I made my low pressure system, used a large 100 liter tote on bottom and a 50 liter on top. 3/4" pipe for manifolds and threaded in mini sprinkler heads (15). Works great so far with just a couple of glitches like roots tangling around the manifold pipes. At the end of the run I could no longer raise the lid with the net pots in it.

Buddy was only repeating what I have read, also read ionic and advanced nutrients are good as well... Like the sound of your system sounds impressive, and you will always get a glitch somewhere lol what about inverting the sprinklers so they are under the lid spraying down? Should avoid tangles that way I would have thought?

    Peace... IJ

Yes I did move the pipes higher and closer to the sides. Trying to hit the roots directly as well as the bottom of the pots. I also did turn the nozzles to the bottom of the pipes. Havent turned it on yet to try it. Going to germ 6 White Russian tomorrow so should be ready to go Sunday night. It will only be the second run so still dialling it in. I picked up some nutes yesterday and couldnt bring myself to switch from HG lol. Going to start another tray in three weeks so perhaps the GH will go in, and yes I have heard of some great results GH nutes.
