    Default Autoflower Question

    Ahoya

So I have 1 x Amnesia Auto XXL bean that came as a freebie and I am about a month away from popping her in the ground. At this current time our days are 11h 47m 43s. Its changing an average of 2 min per day.

What is the best light hours for auto's outside ???

    Love and Light

More hours of light is better for autos

As much as possible tbh. 18 + hours. Have the breeding from Attic plants that don't get much dark, 2 maybe 0 hours of dart throughout their life.

That's fine but tbh mate that kind of post is misleading to newbies IMO.

If you put the reasons why you went 12/12 straight away it would be better, cost of leccy, other plant in same room whatever otherwise its just bad info as it will be loads better with the recommended required amount of light.

No offence meant mate, just see it a lot lately (not meaning you all the time) giving 'bad' advice or rather not the best advice

Ruderalis is the word I was looking for.

Only speaking from experience mate, thats why a lot of people follow trends, someone will say 20 hours, another will say 20 so the next person uses 20 hours, i was told not to run mine 12/12 id be wasting a seed and what not but to be fair it looks im gonna get a couple ounce off mine, so in daylight with less than 12 hours of light left a day he could still yield something worth his time but any less obviously will be a waste of time and he would better off leaving it till next year or bringing it indoors.

This is day 53, its still got another 10 - 14 days to go.

Whilst 12/12 is a valid light period for autos, you get better yields with longer light periods

I was waiting for 1st October to pop her, but I think I'll do it tomorrow and use sun during the day and MH for a longer day.

    Say - 18/6 or 20/4 ???

I'll switch to HPS when flowering begins, but won't that confuse the plant when it gets different light spectrums ???

    Love and Light

And my experience would be that it would have been more like 4oz + with at least 18 hours under a 600whps.

Your experience is 1 grow though is it? The one in your SIG?

Wasn't having a go, just saying IMO its not a good bit of advice and now you said you only got 2oz it was a waste imo
