Default Rooting test - Root!t vs Aloe Vera gel vs plain water

Hi guys I was talking with a member last night about using aloe Vera gel to root cuttings. I have three aloe plants in pots and probably spend about £100-150 a year on rooting hormone.
So I chopped a blade off the aloe this morning and I'm go a run a comparison over the next couple of weeks.... I'm hoping the aloe wins hands down and I can save the money for something else. (Dab bong ✌&#128540
Anyone use aloe let us know what you think n I'll give you all a shout when I see some roots!

    Vs

    Root!t

Have a look in Google for "willow water" top notch for rooting plants & it's free too.

Well I've got roots from one of the cuts...... Aloe Vera one!
    Seems legit.
I'm taking 10 cuts today, going to do 5 with root!t and 5 with aloe. Bit of a broader experiment I'll let you guys know.
It does work quicker than plain water bt need to do a few more before I'm certain it beats my current hormone.

I got roots from the aloe and the root!t after 4-8 days. Both methods worked nut i put the unused aloe in the fridge and two days later it went off.
Defo works if u have no hormone lying around and i will be using it in summer when i take lots of cuts as this should save me a few pounds at least. Will do a properly controlled test in april as no cuts are going yo be taken between now and then. Cheers guys

    I found this, Loki
also said any variety of willow tree or bush works
    "Make your own willow water:
Easily root azaleas, lilacs, summersweets (Clethra spp.) and roses by gathering about two cups of pencil-thin willow branches cut to 1-3 inch lengths. Steep twigs in a half-gallon of boiling water overnight. Refrigerated liquid kept in a jar with a tight-fitting lid will remain effective up to two months. (Label jar so you won’t confuse it with your homemade moonshine.) Overnight, soak cuttings you wish to root. Or water soil into which you have planted your cuttings with the willow water. Two applications should be sufficient. Some cuttings root directly in a jar of willow water. Make a fresh batch for each use. You can also use lukewarm water and let twigs soak for 24-48 hours."
Great info - just wish there was a willow tree in my neighborhood haha
    Kind Regards.
