Alright Lads, this turned up today.

Should do the job nicely. Just need to go B&Q & get some plumbing supplies, what size should I make my spray bars, I was thinking 25mm plastic pipe. The pressure through that should be epic.

    Cheers.

    Loki.

    Hello Guy's,

So I have been doing some calculations regarding water chillers, I'll be using 7x 84 litre boxes for my 6 pots & res, I would assume that the maximum capacity would be around 60 litres of water in each pot.

    With that in mind:

    7x 60 litres = 420 (sweet lol)

    420 + 10% (for heat loss)

    10% of 420 = 42

    420 + 42 = 462 litres.

So I would need a water chiller capable of cooling 462 litres of water to a set temperature of 18°c - 19°c.

I'm planning on having a 500 litre water butt outside the grow room, I'm going to connect the main system to the cooler & also connect the water butt to the chiller. I'll have the water butt & the main system on separate isolation valves en route to the chiller, this will give me the chance to have the system at a set temperature & also the water butt while I make up the nutrients. This will also allow me to empty the main system & as soon as it's empty I can open the valves to release the already cooled nutrients into the system. Booooom Engineering + Plumbing & Science all rolled into one super Undercurrent Recirculating Deep Water Culture 6 pot system. I could go with either a 500 litre capacity cooler or a 1000 litre capacity cooler if I want to have both the system & water butt chilled at the same time.

Here's a little picture of a revised layout.

    Hello Lads,

I have a pump for my setup & have been having a nightmare trying to get fittings to marry up to the pump.

Here's a quick picture of the outlet from the pump.

The outlet is 40mm but I can't get any type of fitting to match the outlet.

Was wondering if any of you experienced peeps could share how you get the pump attached to the spray bars.

    Thanks in advance

    Loki.
