Building a frame, but what height above the NFT tray/plants?

Hi all

Building a 70x70cm scrog frame with legs tomorrow to over my small GT205 2/3 plant NFT system for something I want to try

Im trying to work out how long the 4 legs need to be, the tank stands just over 7 inches high, but what height does the top tray need to be from the frame (distance between top of system and frame on top of the legs?

Hey GGM,

You'll want around 12 inches from the top of the pot to the bottom of the frame. This will give you the room to work with little stress.

Cheers matey, thanks, decided to build it so itl fit inside a 80x80 tent, and il put a shelf in it to raise the NFT up with the screen on the top. Will put pics up once ive done

Gonna do the same with my GT100 but need to get a different tent first, was a stupid idea to buy a 120x120 thats pretty much a dead fit to the tank with no side doors

I was going to add, you should build it at a comfortable height for you to work with, then raise the tank to it.

yep thats the plan mate, cause got fucked knees and ive got a trapped nerve in my lower back, so bending overs a no no as i get shooting pains and pins and needles down my legs.. id make a shit homo lol.. so yeh its sorta gonna be like a table with a shelf in the middle for the tray to sit on, as im plan to go scrog in it should have plenty of height left if i can get the NFT to the height of a dining chair so i can sit down to do any work or res changes.. another reason why im fckin off my DS120 its not cripple friendly
