Been thinking of making my own feminized seeds just for the crack of it, although i wouldn't mind trying plant tissue culture just for the botany

    What you will need:-

Some silver wire (Ebay's a good source)
    a 9v battery
    A jar
Some ordinary wire (My designs a bit posher but it doesn't have to be as professional in the finish...)
Deionised water (distilled will work too)

I used an old 100g coffee jar (wash it out thoroughly!) and poked two holes in the lid

Then cut 2 lengths of silver wire to a length that's almost the depth of the jar

I used a glue gun but sticky tape will work. Push the silver wire through the lid leaving about an inch showing on the top & secure...

Straighten out kinks in the wire & try to have them parallel to each other

Add some water to the jar (there's about 250ml in mine)

Put the lid on the jar & mke sure that the wires aren't touching the bottom, if they are trim them so they are about an inch from the bottom..

I taped my battery to the side of the jar more for convenience as everything then can be moved with just one hand

Being a posh git I have a 9v battery connector and mini crocodile clips (99p each from ebay) for easy connection...

Connect the clips to the silver wire... doesn't matter which way around...

    Connect battery...

Put it in a safe area, out of direct sunlight & wait 24hrs & job done... you have colloidal silver

Bear in mind that this isn't 'food grade' so don't go drinking it

It's simple enough but any questions just ask
Basically same technique I've used for nearly 20 years. :-) Shelf life is the equivalent of any food grade CS. It'll be good if stored correctly for years.

I make it as I need it, I don't store it so don't know about the 'shelf life'

Some people spray as they hit 12/12 but as I normally do autos, I spray as soon as I see the first pistles (as soon as it starts to flower)

Just remember, do not smoke the plant after you have sprayed her (some people only spray a single branch & smoke the rest... I don't...)
It amazes me how clever you lot on here are.. unless i am just rather stupid..... So if you use colloidal silver on an Auto.. presumably it will produce auto flowering seeds.. but they will then need to be feminised? confused.com, i have never got as far as to start messing with kinda stuff!

Hang on, i'm still wrong... surely if you use colloidal silver on a female auto flowering plant and use the pollen from that to pollenate another female auto flowering plant you will get feminised auto flowing plant.. i think or maybe not.. M_C?

That's correct mate All the pollen is feminised so will always produce female seeds - and, Yes, the auto flowering gene will also be retained

I have been making colloidal here for almost ten years, and partake twice daily...I took NO flu shots during that time and NEVER had the flu---it kills sore throats, and is a heal for wounds...Twice, it has saved batches of puppies from Parvo virus (really workd sine parvo starts in the stomach...
I use 5 9V batteries, and can make a liter of 25 ppm colloidal in an hour. Juicing up the volts surely speeds the ionization!

Thanks for the thread M_C and the easy to follow directions. I'm low on seeds for a strain I've had excellent luck with in my climate. Been meaning to produce more, but have lost motivation since discovering femenized seeds (yes, I live under a rock). Now I can femenize my own and get back to growing that strain again.

Heres a picture of my tried and true strain. It's an AK47x?.
