Ive got a Swann system mate its all hard wired though, 5 cameras 2 x pan & tilt, 1 x pan tilt & zoom and 2 statics, not what you're looking for I know but thought it worth mentioning the iphone, andriod and pc apps are excellent...If you look on the Swann web site you will have a lot more choice than maplin have to offer, could be something to fit your needs....

    Regards BL

Ive got 2, one watching my front door, one watching my tents. Both work together on an app on the iphone thats free to download, easy to setup, plug them into the router with cat 5 cable first, one by one, set it up with your wireless then unplug the lan cable. You can access them anywhere aslong as youve got internet access 3G etc on your phone. You can take screenshots or record it and it saves to your phone.
    whats quality like mate?

Thanks for all the replies lads, much appreciated. You've given me lots of food for thought!

I spotted one on Ebay the other week but it's now long gone. - The camera was the size and shape of a ciggy packet and ran on 4 x AA's. It had a camouflaged shell and would have been perfect. - It had a built in GPS thing and could be viewed as/when on a smartphone. - It was only about £70 too, but knobhead here missed it.
It's summat like that I'm after really as it'll be positioned in a tree in a wood, but people do walk past so it needs to be invisible.

Cheers fellas. I'll check out the links sent!

Sounds perfect, didn't know such things existed. Guessing it needs a SIM card for a data connection?

For it to be truely wireless you will need someway to power it... solar and a battery perhaps ? You will also need something long range... There are cameras that will broadcast to the internet with a sim card but low quality plus you will be paying for a lot of data... it really depends how far your camera is from a location with internet
