A useful post. Thank you. Am growing my first time in South Africa, outdoors. Rain should start in the next few weeks. As pots are outside, is it ok to leave in the rain when it starts? Too re watering by hand, you say when lights are on, I assume then same applies outdoors, when sun is out?
    Much appreciated!

    Great post.

One quick question, I recently transplanted into a bigger pot with improved quality soil. This morning when I believe it needed watering, no water came out from the holes at the bottom which lands into the saucer. I waited 10 mins, is this is an indication that I haven't watered enough?

If this was an auto id say you need at least to see some indication of run off and if your using salt based nutes then 5 to 10% at least. If its organic feeding then what ever ya fancy, I tend to just watch for it start running off and thats plenty for me livig soil.

As its a photo I cant be sure this applies but its very likely to
