Talking help!!! setting up new grow and want to keep it quiet

i need as much advice as poss from you guys out there.

i am setting up a new room in my spare room

i have fitted a false wall and insulated that

i intend to have a fan suck the heat out into the loft, then up into the chimney

i want to have 2 times 600watts hps and 1 times 400 watt metal halide
my fan can suck 800 cubic m per hour

will it still get hot in the room?

the room is just over 2.4 meters long by 2 meters wide and about 2.5 meters high

do you think i will draw attention to myself running this much light???? if so what to do???

    any help would be great!!!!!

    thanks guys

Do you have an intake fan? or are you running alot of co2? (i guess not as your running that extractor constantly). you need some sort of co2 coming in to that room or your plants would suffer alot.

But i dont see why you would have heat issues if its setup correctly, try it out and run a test and take some heat measurments and if it is too hot try to adapt your lighting to a sort of cooltube setup unless thats what you have? (which would gurantee no heat issues).

but make sure you have clean air coming in unless you can run alot of co2 and keep a sealed enviroments with no extraction for co2 to escape and then avoid heat issues.

also remember theres alot of lumens coming from all those lights.

thank for the reply so soon dude
i have air vents all along the bottom of the false wall.
my main worry was that if all the heat is coming out the chimney it would be spotted b heat cameras.
would i be better just pumping it into the loft space to find its own way out into the sky??????????????

Well chimneys are usually made to release fumes or heat from fires anyway so i dont think heat raising out of your chimney would draw any attention.

you could also use some Megalux Megashield Thermal image heat protection sheeting (quite expensive though, around 100m roll for £150)

Note: Small grows (under 2000w) would probably do not emit enough heat to warrant the effort or expense.

you should get a better light
if you carnt afford a hps light then get a cfl
you can get a 250w cfl for around 50 pound and its what ive been using untill now because i upgraded to hps 600wat

    THANKS ALOT,

so should i take the light away from the plant?

i have kept the oldest one in the sunlight and put the smallest under the light...

do you think this will keep the plant growing for the time being or shall i jus get them both by the window?

    Thanks again...

The sunlight's probably better for them than that 15wUV. They just don't put out the right spectrum that the plants need to grow, but it might come in usefull when you're flowering them to go alongside a main light! and it could be harmful for your health too if it's UVB so be careful with it

HAHAHA, I THINK i might put away and get it out for flowering then...

can anyone recommed a good light to use, i dont really want to spend any more tha say £40.00 on the atchual light, as this grow wasnt atchually meant to cost me anything becuase all materials so far have been collected over last few months... although money is no issue.
