    For the best effect you need to bake it slightly first to decarboxylate it, gives a much better effect than just sticking it into the butter- there are some good methods online- I use the volcano to decarboxylate my bud as then I get the benifits of the stuff you cook off too!

    If you bake it I'm sure you are fine to use straight from the freezer and if you want to make qwiso hash freezing the bud and iso is the best method

    do i need to dry it out first before i decarboxylate or can i put straight in to oven from freezer? then butter

    Ive never done it with frozen bud but I imagine it would be fine- just requiring a slightly longer period in the oven & to be spread out sufficiently . As long as you monitor the product and remove it when dry I can't see any major issues of have a read of this article first as it gives quite a good overview of decarbing http://www.marijuanagrowershq.com/de...thca-into-thc/

    Right, Ive done a batch of butter using an oz of AVB I had lying around. thought id share my method quickly and if anyone has any good cannabutter recipes to share I will attempt some cooking on Monday! anyway hope the following info is helpful:

    You will need:
    1 hotplate or stove
    some decarboxylated Weed (I use the byproduct from my volcano)
    250g Salted butter for every 14g avb (has a higher smoke point than unsalted apparently, also coconut oil works even better but I am too broke for that)
    a tea strainer or fine cloth
    containers to put the butter in
    saucepan
    Optional coffee filter

    Once you have the above items you can begin. First of all you want to heat your saucepan gently and place the butter inside- you don't want to burn anything so keep the heat low. I am using a hotplate with a cast iron sauce pan. I have 29g of Already vaped bud to use so am going to melt 500g of butter in the pan. once a lot of this has melted you can stir in the AVB.

    cook this for an hour or so (you can go longer if you'd like but I find an hour is plenty) and then use the tea strainer to filter out the AVB from the butter. keep loading it up and pressing down ith the spoon until all the butter is in the container. Now you can use the coffee filter to squeeze out the rest of the butter from the AVB. Once it has all been collected place the butter in the fridge and allow to solidify. Now you can use it in place of normal butter in any dish

    Thought I'd post up a quick recipe for cookies using some of the cannabutter I made before. The recipe is one adapted from another site, I made these tonight and found them to be quite effective

    Pre heat oven to 190 deg c

    1 cup of canna butter
    3/4 cup of white caster sugar
    3/4 cup light brown sugar
    2 heaped tablespoons of crunchy peanut butter

    use a wooden spoon to combine these ingredients into a smooth paste then add 1 tsp of vanilla & crack an egg into the bowl. combine until light and airy.

    sieve in 2 cups of plain flour, 1/2 spoon of baking powder & 1/2 tsp salt and combine to make the cookie dough!
    at this stage you need to be careful you don't eat all the raw cookie dough

    put grease proof paper on a baking tray and rub over with cannabutter. #next roll the dough out and cut your cookies laying them out on the greased up tray.
    Once all the dough is used put the tray in the oven for 7-10 minutes and then place on a cooling rack. at this point try and limit what you eat, I had about double the amount of cookies to begin with!
