We use a lot of Aloe straight from the plant for cuts, bruises and burns. Mr. Starling is a Judoka and often uses the gel on burns from his gi or from other people's grip points.
It's a lovely little plant. So versatile.

Hey clarice, hope the aloes are coming on. They are a staple in my garden. Feeding, foiliar feeding it has so many uses in the garden it's unreal I've got loads of plants and I also use freeze dried powder. Its wonderfull for fighting pests to it contains salicylic acid which plays a massive role in the plants SAR(systematic acquired resistance) the plants defence system) among many other things. It's a wonderfull addition to any garden in my opinion

When one of my daughters was young she fell into a nettle bed wearing only shorts and t-shirt I covered all of the lumps in Aloe juice fresh from the plant and within minutes all of the swellings had gone and she was back to normal. An amazing plant. They do tend to like very dry conditions and put out loads of babies that you can give to your friends.

Yeah....I have given away as many as I can - for myself I have kept one of the original 3, 6 of what I have playfully called the "runts of the litter" as they are all strongly curved (they were discovered growing right at the bottom of the 2 ft tub) but I still have WAY too many!

I love these plants such but am running out of places to put them. I even have 2 at work now.

I used to see bundles of Aloe Vera leaves in the fruit and veg aisle in US supermarkets. You'll never see it over here like that. My son in law used to drink them once blended. I've had some foul things in my mouth, but Aloe Vera juice is in the top 3.
