After topping you should wait at least a week to let the plant recover before putting it into flower otherwise its trying to mend itself and transition to flower at the same time.

I tend to wait about two weeks after my plants have had stress before i go 12/12 and that also applys after a repot.

i was advised the best time to top a plant for the best yeild is one week into 12/12 cycle just as the preflower are about to perform as this maximises the size of the main two colas that your creating
