I thought coco is a lot more lighter than soil and airy
Which makes it easier for roots to grow out.

Dirt has always started faster until they find their feet then they go for it, that's how I see it, don't know if you can remember a few diaries when they move from dirt to 1st Coco grow they worry coz it's slower, Rasta was 1 and Buster is the other 1 off the top of my head. Have a word with him and see if he remembers .

I would think your batmix is heavy fed unless it says light on it.

I mean grow and bloom by feed.

You can add root stim every water an silicon every other no matter wot
    Your feeding.

So I mean if you have a light mix then after 2 weeks you need to feed the plant
So you are in control an not the soil so less chance of over feedif you know wot
    Your doing.

Whereas say with a batmix it's very heavy in feed so your plant could either be
Stressed, feed itself too much an burn or end up with deficiencies coz there's too
    Much feed in it.

So best off with a light fed soil then you can start low on feed and up it as it needs it.
