i use 2 x 400 w for veg running the blue spectrum bulb, the blue bulbs are good for veg.

then i run 3 x 400w for flower and the red spectrum bulbs are good for flower, am not an expert and cant say more than that, just always used them like that lol

I have seen many diaries on this strain and tbh i never been over impressed. why it is in the top 10 or whatever on seed sites i have no idea from what i have seen it does not deserve to be. For stability i would choose a dinafem auto but even these throw up the odd runt but then most seeds do. As for light i was most disappointed with my metal halide, and are def no good for Auto's if your going to do Auto's dual spec all the way from start to finish. Do not pussy foot about with light when growing auto's it will just diminish the final product.

Dual spectrum throws out both red & blue spectrum from the same bulb so you can happily use it all the way through a grow

yes hps, the hoods are called parabolic shaded, the shade takes most of the heat away from the plants so you can get the light closer to the plants as the bulb normaly generates heat from the side the shade pointsthe bulb up and down the way, would never throw away my parabolic shades.
