Right guys thought i would do a comparison on the differences between the use of Great white v just Rhizo....I seen a few comment in chat the other day where someone was saying, you don't need all these products, it's just over complicating things and a waste of money, some folks think they all do the same thing as in that they are just root stimulators, but do they ?
Great white & Rhizotonic are two completely different products, let's look at Great white first. This product is trichoderma mycorrhizal fungi beneficial bacteria, in nature these microorganisms thrive in and on plant roots and greatly enhance plant growth and vigor. Mycorrhizae have a symbiotic relationships that form between fungi and plants. The fungi colonize the root system of a host plant, providing increased water and nutrient absorption capabilities while the plant provides the fungus with carbohydrates formed from photosynthesis. Trichoderma also act as an inoculant for plants.
Rhizotonic mainly consists of B vitamins, B1 & B2 which have been used by gardeners for years in the form of superthrive. B vits help with stress relief from transplant shock and stimulate the production of hormones, rhizo also contains various trace elements and 60 microbiological substances.
Rhizotonic has an NPK ratio of 0.6-0.2-0.6 so there is a small amount of nutrition there too ideal for getting seedling and cuttings going..
When you're growing plants in an artificial indoor environment particularly with cannabis which has a relatively short life cycle, any advantage you can gain early on in the plant's life the better. The roots are the foundation of your plants, the bigger, healthier root system you can produce will have a direct effect on the amount of water/feed the plants are able to process, this will also have an effect on the quality and quantity of the final product...
Below are two pics, the first is a clone that just been fed Rhizotonic. The second Pic is a clone that was treated with Great white and Rhizotonic...The clones are exactly the same age from the same mother plant and kept under identical conditions, environment & light.
I think this demonstrated perfectly the benefits of Great white, the root growth is prolific and probably double the amount of roots of the untreated sample..
Clone treated with just Rhizo
Clone treated with a combo of Great white & Rhizo
Happy growing folks
