I don't know how these companies get away with selling this cheap shit. Defo go with Ruck or RVK for fans and Rhino pro for filter like so many above have said. I had one of these cheap kits, i don't think the fan lasted 3 weeks and i was so fecking noisy and utter shite its quite unbelievable. I learnt the hard way. Ive replaced every bit of kit i started with including Ec & Ph meters.

Buy once and save yourself some cash Mon the cash!

The main trouble is that these companies suggest you can set up well for about £100, you can't - but the companies are just selling the kit, not taking any responsibility, that is left up to their customers

Got to agree with everything said, I grow in a cupboard in my garage and vent into there, had a temp. controlled RVK and rhino filter from day 1 and it does the job perfectly, without it would be game over

Good first post AT23, seen a lot of new starters not worrying with odour control and disappearing after a few weeks...

Aye... these companies won't be the ones getting busted.

And your can bet both your bollocks and your wife's left tit the kit-seller themself on their personal grow will be using a Rhino Pro and RVK or similar.

I have a kaizen carbon filter and it works perfectly, the only smell I get is when I open my tent and I guess that's unavoidable!

But if I open up my fireplace where the filter is blowing up the chimney the warm air is blowing right up and it smells of nothing!

I will get the kaizen every time now, good value and it works!
I will only keep it for 2 grows max though as I wouldn't dare take the risk
For such a small item, last thing I want is my door getting smashed off the hinges for 3 plants!

Or just buy a Rhino Pro, and have 6+ grows before any hint of a smell..

Also, +1 for Rhino Pro for sure.

    Hello..

I've had my 5" RVK fan and Rhino Pro filter running more or less non stop
    since about October 2014.Over 12 months,and it's still going strong.I can't
smell a thing when it's running.

I've just washed that pre-filter thingy once in the washing machine, that's all.
I also have the ducting from the tent going into the front room. It's just like
    central heating,nice and warm.

Same reason I have my vent into my garage, adds heat and My Mrs will be the first to moan about smell instead of a neighbour
