    Hi,

    How do they smell and if you pull slightly do they break off easily?

    What's the water temps. High and lowest reading....

    Any pica of the plant...
    All the best, Gander

    We could definitely use some more information , like the nutes your using and the pH. Your normal Res temps. How old are your plants what states growth. More pictures.

    Your roots don't look rotted, but you don't have as many fine roots as you should have. I suspect that might be a pH issue. Or you had some hi res temps.

    I also see larger bubbles in your bucket then you should have. It's best to have the finest bubbles possible. That gives you more dissolved oxygen.

    Hey , thanks for replies , she's about 6 weeks old and using advanced nutrients sensi grow and b52 so ph is always around 6 (ph perfect) also have a chiller keeping res temp at 19°c , there's no smell at all, also my air stone is a cheap one but air pump is rated at 38 liters per minute thanks again for input

    a simple test is;
    if you get hold a one of the browner ones and pull then if the outer sides off the root and it leaves a thin hair like strand behind then yes you have rot and the smell can tell you but then you need to know how healthy roots smell
    some nutes can stain them brown as well

    It would be a good idea to check the pH in your res anyway. When you use big air stoned and high volume air pump you can get your pH out of whack. Problem is you get too much co2 along with you o2.
