i've gotta say, i never thought about washing my Buds until my last grow where i had a powdery mildew problem... after many hours research i washed mine in ozonated water, i bought a cheap ozone gen thing of the bay, it comes with an airline, air stone and even a guide telling you how long to run it for sterilising different stuff, including fruit,
i used it to ozone-ate a 50ltr gorilla tub of tap water and cleaned them that way..

i did also read an article in a well respected Grow mag about using ozone to provide a huge oxygen boost to your roots by ozone-ating the feed, as the 3rd molecule that makes the ozone turns to oxygen after about 20 mins... Although i have not yet experimented with this, as it will of course kill any Bennies!
The science behind using it to keep roots healthy and provide an oxygen boost makes good sense to me though... Also i have used the thing to good effect in my home(with the airline removed) to get rid of smells, smoke, feet, wet dog, baby poo etc.. handy little product for £20.

    1. 1 cup of lemon juice...is that the stuff you get in small glass bottles for cooking with...pancake day etc?

    2. 1 cup of bicarb of soda...does that mean just throw a cup full of bicarb into the 20l bucket of water and mix it in?

It's the juice from a lemon

One cup as in the actual cup measurement of both into one bucket only and mix well
