Question Starting clones in water like a spider plant???

With all the house plants I have spent my life growing and enjoying I have always just put cuttings in water on the windowsill to root in a week or two! Why wouldn't or why shouldn't we use this method since I've been cloning like this for almost 40 years . I know once roots begin to form they need oxygen so an air stone would be added at first sign of rooting. I'm going to try a couple with a dash of Grow Big & a pinch of Shark Bite because that stuff is the best thing I've ever seen for keeping roots happy!!!

I will try a few and document progress and take some pics .

I pretty much do the same . I took a big plastic tub painted it black made a lid . Cut a few holes in it for my net pots added a air stone for good measure . Take cuts quiet big like face and plant straight into net pot with clay pebbles and never lost one . In a long long time . Just change the water regular and make sure the cuts are in the water and your golden

did you do anything with that cup clone ? did you get any pics with a good root system growing I'm trying to see if they root from the sides or all out of the bottom 1/4"??

thanks , winkdogg! I have an idea for a hydro cloner made from a Tupperware and an air pump from a fish tank trying to figure out best height for water and air bubbles!

the clones look like they never had a stress period no sagging or yellowing like you get with some soil batches and what solution do you use in the cloner?
