Default Removing fan leaves 1 week before chop?

I'm sure I read somewhere that some people remove all the fan leaves on the last week before harvest.

Just wanted some conformation on it, I have been taking off leaves throughout the grow/ big ones and ones that cover up bud sites, I know some people really don't like it but I've been doing it lol.

My personal opinion is don't remove them unless there is a reason to do so. What you have done so far is acceptable, but I think removing them all is a step too far

Remove them if they turn yellow.

I remove them during grow also. I do not remove anything after 2nd week flood bloom. Only time I will remove after that is if they turn yellow.

it's kinda strain dependent in my opinion.
If ur plants have loads of leaves, prune until the light reaches nicely through the whole plant.
If dealing with a strain with a medium amount of leaves, remove only the biggest middle and lower leaves to make sure the lower buds will see the light.
When growing a strain with very few leaves, do not prune unless they turn completely yellow and snap out without effort.
    Hope that helps.
    Cheers

Well, I did not actually answer the OP's question, here goes:

I would NOT remove all leaves a week prior to chopping the plants.
If u removed what was needed earlier, the buds have got enough light and more light during the last week won't make a real difference.
But removing all sugar leaves a week before chopping would be stressing the plant badly and probably affecting the final aroma/flavor.
