Thread: thinking of autoflowering seeds help

Perlite instead of Clay Pebbles I think.

B&Q Verve has produced some amazing results over the years for people, but it can have some problems. Being stored outdoors means it can have Fungus Gnats, not the end of the world but needs sorting e.g. by fully drying the soil out. I think Skippy dries and shifts his Verve. Another issue is it can be quite sodden compared to specialist soils. A few grows - especially under LEDs as they run cooler - I've seen people who have put 20-30% Perlite into their mix say it's not draining well and they'd up the Perlite mix. Saying a watering can last a week. Etc.

A lot of people here use Verve to good effect, but I'm running LEDs and my Plant Magic Soil Supreme was beautifully light and airy for drainage under LED.

Whilst we're on the subject of soil, I highly recommend Westland Gro-Sure seedling compost. It's fluffy as you like and got a good mix of vermiculite.

I'm going to throw an auto in some of this soil and leave it in the garden soon. I like the idea of lightly fertiliser soil for autos. Never grown one but it makes sense in my head

Too right mate. Soil supreme is excellent. My last plants (too long ago ) were potted up with soil supreme and granules and they were the best plants I'd grown up to the point I had to kill them

Vermiculite retains water, which might be handy in very small containers but usually people are looking to get the water out so choose Perlite instead.

Reviews on B&Q site seem to agree and I've seen it recommended twice today by chance so thought I would ask (cause I want to buy some ; !)
Glad you liked it, to me that shows it really hasn't got a problem, prob more to do with how some people use it maybe.
I used JI no2 for seedlings well out of all the verve etc I've used it only ever got spider mites from the JI so I'd never go back to that...

Well the the difference is a smaller plant and it's aauto so you don't need to change the light cycle at all and the yeilds are fine couple of Oz per plant on autos some IV seen some get 5 Oz depends on the strain and the there is no difference in the content but autos look good and are stealthy they are a little bit harder to do but they are fine just set a diary up and us fellow THC talkmembers will help you out a lot bud autos also just require sometime less bytes than photos but it's goes down for the strain and you looking at 10/11 weeks per harvest mate
