Syphon auto fill ?

hello

For a simple auto fill on my 4 bubbler bucket system could I put a pipe in the side of the bucket at the level I want the water leading up to a control bucket full of water and nutes and syphon it into the bucket ? And would it stop filling when the waterline reach the pipe in the side of the bucket ?

Just an idea as I want a simple auto fill system without messing with floats if possible

That wouldnt work dude once u start syphoning water out of the higher tank it will just carry on until its empty. It wont stop automatically when it reaches water level in your lower res. You need a ball valve/float to do that
